Spring is coming!!!

My machine #1 is back!!! YEAH!!! It is running perfectly.
Spring is coming and I can tell my customers are ready for it!!! I am getting in a lot of Easter orders and I love working with seersucker, polka dots and pastels! I am showing a few pictures of the same dress below so you can see the different ways to wear the a-lines. The great thing about the a-line is they can be worn with a collared shirt in short sleeve or long sleeve, turtleneck, round neck shirts or no shirt at all. They are great in the summer with nothing underneath. I do not sell the peter pan collared shirt in the pictures. This shirt is by Rosalina.
This dress can also be made without rick rack trim.
Pink seersucker a-line with turquoise monogram. $30
Pink gingham a-line with hot pink monogram and rick rack. $30
I am even starting to get into pool towel season.....Towels $20.
Bloomers - $10 each.
Princess Frog a-line with Name - $35
Letter with name a-line - $30
Princess Carriage a-line with name - $35
I have been making a lot of these Scottie dog dresses lately. This is made of red corduroy. $35
Thanks for looking!

Love, Love, Love

Happy Valentine's Day to all my customers and maybe those who want to order but just haven't quite done it yet!

In the spirit of love, I am going to post about a couple new appliques I love. These are photos taken by "testers" of these designs so remember fabrics can be changed.

  • When I saw this circle monogram I HAD TO HAVE IT. There are so many things you can do with this. Put it on a shirt, dress, bag, towel, etc. - Thank you Applique Market!

  • Also, these tennis racquets were too cute pass up. They would work on towel, clothes, bags, etc. Very versatile.

A little unfortunate news...this is where my main machine usually sits. Had to send it off to be fixed. I tried to fix it myself, even had my husband working on it - I never thought I'd see the day. Well, no luck, and now it is off to Atlanta to be repaired. So things are running a little bit slower that normal since I am operating on one embroidery machine. I am really pleased with my decision to purchase a back up machine. Hopefully it will be back in a few days and things will get back to normal.

On a more positive note, I am going to be redoing the Lucy's Closet LOGO and a few other things (well a professional is going to be doing it). So, I am very excited about the possibility of a new website (in the future) and a new look for Lucy's Closet that will make it easier for my customers to create, shop, purchase and browse my clothing and gifts. Stay tuned!

Here are a few things I've been working on:

This gumball machine would be cute on a shirt or a-line dress as well with a name underneath.

Lastly, Happy Valentine's Day to my wonderful husband, who is willing to take apart an embroidery machine with me, and my beautiful children , who inspired me to use these machines in the first place.

Remember this?

Remember a few posts back I posted this fabric?
Well..this is what became of it and I just love it. I really, really do (insert picture of me smiling here). This fabric also comes in these color as well.
I have three red play dresses like this left in a size 4 and one size 6 in turquoise. $23 (regularly $28). I can do a variety of things above the empire waist. This is one example.
I also want to wish my twin nieces a very happy 3rd birthday! They love Mickey and Minnie!

I loved their faces when they saw their shirts! Those are moments that I'll never forget.

Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh!

I am not the most computer savy so I am super excited about all the things I am learning to do on my blog!!! Recently my family had fabulous photos taken when we were the lucky winners of a photo shoot by Images by Susie Lynn. Look what I was able to do with her incredible photos when I was playing around tonight! I love my family!
And then I made this chalkboard. I am like a kid in a candy shop right now. All these cool little freebies came from Shabby Blogs.

Unfortunately, in trying to upload pictures to my computer I have deleted all my pictures of the items I have been working on for the last two weeks (really not happy about it) so I do not have any pictures to add to this post. Did I already say how I am really not happy about it? Ugh.
