I have a ANNOUNCEMENT, necessary but probably not very popular. Lucy's Closet is going to be closed from December 1, 2012 - January 14, 2013. My last day I will be taking orders before taking this little break will be November 2, 2012.
I am sure those of you who read this are asking why? Well, I have been operating Lucy's Closet for almost 4 years and in that time I have never really adjusted prices too much. I am going to take this time to look really hard at the costs of running this company and the prices I am charging for all of my items I sell, across the board. Most of my customers tell me that my prices are incredible. This includes items that I create as well as items that my wonderful loyal customers bring me to embroider.
Problem #1 is that my prices are too low and Problem #2 is that over the three years the prices of cotton and shipping have increased. I love this company and creating things for you and your loved ones but I can't work for free. I will not make changes without really taking into consideration the cost of goods I use and the labor time it takes me to make it.
I will be reopening in January and at that time I will have a new set price list that I feel assured will not be too traumatic for my customers. It will make sense for Lucy's Closet as well as you, the customer.
Thank you for your understanding!

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas....
October is FLYING by!! This might be one of the busiest Octobers I have had. I had three HUGE orders come in this month so I am staying very busy, which is great, but I am definitely having a 3-4 week turnaround time right now. I have started on some Christmas clothing too. I am doing a lot of volunteering at my children's school as well so some days I am falling into bed at 8:30. I am telling you all this so my customers know that if you email me I will do my best to get back with you in 24 hours but sometimes it might be a couple days. Lucy's Closet is a one-woman operation and my first priority is my family. Please plan ahead because once my schedule is filled turn around time could be extended. Right now I am booked solid for 3 1/2 weeks. This means no more Halloween orders but I am still doing some Thanksgiving items. There is also only a few weeks of work in December and then Lucy's Closet is closed once the schools get out for the holidays. So please plan ahead, I don't want to turn away any of you!

Tote bags - $20
Bibs - $10
Burp Cloths - $10
Appliqued T's - $20
I want to go where this family was going!!!
I did not make these dresses. A customer asked me to monogram them.
A-line Dresses - $30-$35
I did not make this ruffled longall. I was testing out the possibility of carrying this brand in my store. I added the monogram.
Playdresses - $28
I love chevron fabric and have it in many colors (for those who don't know what chevron is...it is the zig zag fabric in the background).
I using clear packaging now. I know you all like to see the item before you give it as a gift and you don't always want to open the pretty paper packaging. With the clear bags you are able to see the items with out opening and if you do open the bags they are resealable.
