Easter Orders

I am taking Easter orders now and will continue to do so until probably early to mid-March. If my schedule fills up before then and I stop taking Easter clothing orders before then I will post it here on my blog. Here are some recent photos.

LuLu Originals

No, I am not making bows but I know someone who is! I get asked a lot (or suggested) that I should make hairbows to coordinate with my clothing. While there is no time or talent in me for that, there is a teacher from my children's school who makes the most fantastic bows and she can make things to coordinate with clothing! Her business is called LuLu Originals and some of you might have seen her at local craft shows. She has ordered clothing from me for her daughter and niece and she has made bows to match their clothes.  Here are some pictures of her work:

Using my Creativity

I love all my customers and realize that what keeps people coming back to Lucy's Closet is the ability to customize your clothes, baby items, totes, etc. However, I do have a few customers (mostly those related to me and those who know me and my style) that allow me to just make something. Lately I have been doing a lot of these things - people who say "I need a boy bib and burp cloth set" and "you make it however you want". I love it! It gives me a chance to use appliques that I don't always use and change up the fonts and fabrics. I like to think I have a pretty good eye and sense of what will work and what won't - that is why this business works. However, if you are the type of person who knows exactly what they want that is okay too. That is the beauty of CUSTOM!

On another note...I have also been asked lately what fabrics I have for spring. Here are some pictures of fabrics I love.This is just a sample of the fabrics I am offering. All these photos are from Hawthorne Threads - they have beautiful fabrics and carry all my favorite designers - Michael Miller, Anne Kelle, Joel Dewberry and Amy Butler are just a few of those.

If you are looking for something more classic, you can't go wrong with Michael Miller's Ta Dot Fabric. It is an adorable polka dot in almost any color and pairs great with any style monogram. Also, his Dandy Damask and Disco Dot fabrics.
